Managing Partner Bill Oates brings many years of communications experience to Alliant Capital. An alumnus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Bill served national and international clients at the helm of his own advertising design firm for almost three decades. Working intimately with the owners of innumerable industries shaped a skilled articulator, and was a natural segue for his career in business advisory service.

Bill is a Realtor®, a member of the Economic Club of Nashville, a novelist (Duck Hunting in Quicksand, released 09/15/2023), and is a student of Americana, bluegrass and blues music for the 5-string banjo. He and Mitzi have three daughters and two grandchildren have enjoyed Middle Tennessee since moving to Franklin in 2012 from Memphis.
